I Love a Lassie jewellery is jewellery to treasure! All of our jewellery is made with sterling silver 925 and our finishes – 18ct gold, rose-gold vermeil and black rhodium – are a minimum of 3 microns thick.
You should take care to protect your jewellery and always store it in its box or in a tarnish-resistant pouch, taking care not to drop, bash or scratch the jewellery.
You should ALWAYS remove your jewellery when applying scent, lotions and potions, or even better, put on your jewellery when getting dressed.
Care of sterling silver
All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, skin creams, cosmetics, hairspray, chlorine, salt water and acidic skin ph, even sweat. The amount of tarnishing (oxidation) that occurs is dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer. Tarnishing is not a manufacturing fault. We recommend that you remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing, physical work and sports.
Clean your silver jewellery in warm soapy water and gentle brushing with a soft toothbrush. Ensure that it is rinsed thoroughly and dried before storing. Alternatively polish your silver jewellery with a soft polishing cloth or use a silver-dip solution – following the instructions carefully.
Care of gold vermeil and plated finishes
As vermeil is a layer it can gradually wear, giving the appearance that it has faded. Every day wear – as well as contact with perfume, skin and hair products – may speed up this process, especially on items like rings and bracelets.
Clean your gold vermeil and plated jewellery gently with a soft polishing cloth.
We offer a re-plating service for our jewellery, email: email@example.com for details.
